Provided Answers...
1.
Do I need my own domain name?
Yes.
You will need a domain name whether you host your site with
us or if you are hosting with someone else. We can help
you acquire or transfer an existing domain name.
Additional information is available on Website
Hosting & Domain
Registration specials currently available.
2.
How
do I enable Java Applets in Internet Explorer or Windows XP???
IE in Windows XP requires a Java plug-in. It appears that Microsoft
deliberately was not distributing Java on the XP platform. Sun
corp. itself distributes this plug-in free from its website. Anyone
encountering this problem can download directly at the following
address: http://java.sun.com/getjava/
(The file is about 7.5 MB)
There's currently a court order that seems to address this issue.

You may also simply have java disabled in your current browser.
To enable java, follow the directions given at http://www.nelson.com/nelson/enablejava.html.
3.
If
you design a web site for our business, can we maintain it ourselves?
Yes.
We will provide FTP access upon request which includes a free
FTP program if needed. Our service always
includes upload/publishing of your site for you. Instructions
& screenshots are provided for your convenience as well if
you choose to access the site yourself. We offer monthly
upgrade/maintenance plans & special hosting/maintenance
packages
4.
Do
you offer an upgrade/maintenance plan for maintaining our web
site?
Yes. Check
out our maintenance plans on our Services
page.
5.
Where
can I host my new site?
If
you choose, you can host your site with us. Check out our
Website Hosting page for full
details & impressive stats that are hard to beat & at
a very competitive rate! There are many Web
Specials available such as multi-package deals including
Domain
Registration specials currently available.
6.
How
are payments made?
You
will be sent a proposal for your review within one week after
your initial consultation. If you agree to the terms & conditions,
then simply return the contact information page completed &
signed along with the 1st of 3 payments by check or money order.
An additional 1/3 payment is due upon presentation of the 'Mock
Up' & the final 1/3 payment is due upon completion of the
site. Discounts are given if the entire site is paid for up front,
generally 5%-10%.
7.
What
if all I can afford is a starter site, but have more content I'd
like to add?
The
most economical way is to have the entire site created initially
for the best rates in the long run, but if you simply can't afford
an entire large site at once, you do have a few options available.
You can sign up for a monthly maintenance program and, if you
decide to let us host your site, can take advantage of one of
our multi-package deals! Another
option that many others have opted for is to initially do a basic
site, then 3 or 4 months later, have a full upgrade done.
(See our Web Specials page for
full details.)

What
sort of communication is preferred?
We
appreciate all means of communication, whether by e-mail, phone,
fax, or mail. In the past, we have seen that after initial contact,
simply 'touching base', sending information, or updating is best
accomplished via e-mail. This method provides a record of exactly
what's wanted so instructions will be followed more accurately.
If data is needed such as word documents or pictures, you may
either mail or e-mail it to us. We are on a high data transfer
connection & have no problems whatsoever receiving any size
attachments from you. If you have physical pictures that need
scanned, mailing them is the best way.
If you are in the Myrtle Beach S.C. or local Grand Strand area,
we can visit your home or business & make a copy on CDR, 100MB
zip or 250MB zip disks for your convenience. If you have
no means of recording media, we provide an external 100MB zip
drive to assist in this matter.
